What is #HACK?

What is a hackathon?
A short, focused sprint. It kicks off on a Friday evening online, hear real problems and challenges in the context of your city, spend time in discovery and discernment and then come in-person on Saturday morning, form teams, and spend the day developing in iterations. By evening you demo what you made and hand it over.
What makes #HACK different?
The challenges are from the context of your city. Nothing is invented for the weekend. The purpose is to take the Gospel to new people, new places and new spaces. Prayer and Worship is part of the room.
Who can participate?
We welcome anyone who wants to collaborate on mission-focused projects with long-term impact in the city. You don’t have to be a coder to get involved. We need social media creatives, designers, photographers, writers, project managers – creative thinkers! The most important skill is the ability to work as a team and find ways to problem-solve. While #HACK involves a traditional hackathon model of product development, it also welcomes different expression pathways to build solutions.
